Magic Leap/BBC Earth/Preloaded - Micro Kingdoms launch

Mitch Turnbull recently completed work as the natural history writer/producer/director on a new Magic Leap/BBC Earth/Preloaded experience - Micro Kingdoms.

Players are invited to explore the lives of two extraordinary creatures - leafcutter ant and wandering spider - from the comfort of their own home. Guided by actor Stephen Fry, users interact with photo-real creatures as they wander around a mapped play zone, helping the creatures thrive and survive.

Nature sound design by Chris Domaille at Films@59 and music & sound design by Pete Mauder from Phonotheque adds an authentic and ethereal dimension to the high fidelity interactive imagery created by the team at Preloaded, headed up by Phil Stuart.

Tom Burton acted as Executive Producer for BBC Studios.

This incredible mixed reality, spatial computing experience brings the wild into the palm of a player’s hand.
